So how do two dairy farmers break into the corporate world of food and drink? Well they would be the first to admit there is no easy route. There was nothing Will and Jamie didn’t know about grass and cows, they had milked them since they were in school but crafting a quality product from the raw material was a new skill that would have to be learnt. They spent many evenings learning the trade with expert yoghurt makers high up in the hills in next door Cardiganshire before returning to finalise their recipe in the secret of Jamie’s farmhouse kitchen. Having mastered making yoghurt, they then wondered what they would mix with it to create a taste sensation suitable for a drink born and bred in the lowland meadows of Pembrokeshire.
A chance meeting with a friend of Will’s who was an award winning Jam maker provided the answer. Miranda, who is world famous for the jams she produces out of her kitchen at Strumble Head, just below Fishguard, suggested that a subtle mix of seasonal fruits along with some apple juice would probably hit the spot. With Mirandas help, they boys experimented with different ingredients until the had the perfect mix... Will & Jamie’s yoghurt drink had arrived.
